Nathan Kim, M.D., Ph.D.
Nathan Kim, M.D., Ph.D., Director of Radiation Oncology for The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders’ locations in Weatherford and Burleson, comes to our organization from his position as Section Chair and Medical Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at St. John’s Cancer Center in Springfield, Missouri. Dr. Kim has conducted extensive research in radiation oncology and in the use of CyberKnife®, a highly complex type of precision radiation now being used in place of surgery in some cancers and for treating tumors considered inoperable. Dr. Kim’s research has been featured in numerous scientific publications.

In addition to his wide range of experience, Dr. Kim earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, and a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed medical school at Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, including earning a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. He completed an internship, residency, and held a research faculty position at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Kim, his wife and two children reside in Fort Worth.
