Robyn R. Young, MD
Medical Oncologist
Director – Breast Center
“Taking care of breast cancer patients and their families is a calling and a passion for me. The Center gave me the
opportunity to respond to patients with all the resources of major medical centers in the area, along with working with some
of the finest doctors in the nation. To offer cutting edge care to breast cancer patients, along with all the benefits of living
in north Texas is a tremendous opportunity.”
Robyn Young, M.D., currently serves as Clinical Director of the Breast Center at The Center and will direct the "Women's Center"
at The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in Fort Worth. Robyn was raised in East Texas, graduated summa cum laude from Stephen
F. Austin State University and earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She
completed her residency in internal medicine at State University of New York (SUNY) in Syracuse followed by a fellowship in
medical oncology and hematology at SUNY.
Recovering from the cold weather, she regained her senses and moved back to Texas joining the Scott & White clinic in Temple.
While at Scott & White she was instrumental in starting The Breast Cancer Treatment Clinic and, for almost 8 years, has served
as the Medical Director of that program.
Dr. Young and her family make their home in Aledo. She will see patients at The Center’s Fort Worth and Weatherford clinics,
focusing on Breast Cancer.
In Dr. Young's spare time she and her husband, Tom, enjoy raising their eight-year-old and six-year-old children. Robyn has
enjoyed volunteer work, including the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and national professional education
and community education about cancer. She is also an avid reader.
