Siobhan Lynch, M.D, believes treating cancer involves much more than just prescribing medicine. She spends time with each patient, developing a personalized treatment plan. Dr. Lynch also works closely with The Center's outstanding team of cancer specialists, nurses, dieticians, patient navigators, and other support staff, bringing the greatest benefit to each patient.
Dr. Lynch completed a fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, including serving as Chief Fellow. She completed an internship and residency training at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, New York. During this time, she was named Senior Resident of the Year and Outstanding Medical Consult Resident of the Year. She earned her medical degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. Her undergraduate studies in biology and Spanish were completed at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Lynch has a particular interest in breast cancer treatment. She has presented research papers at national meetings and her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals. She speaks frequently to community groups about the importance of prevention and early detection of cancer.
In her free time, Dr. Lynch enjoys being outdoors, going to concerts, and traveling. She is an avid runner, hiker, and reader.
